Mish Liyanage




Mish maps out the strategic direction of all the businesses within Mistoria Group and is very passionate for Mistoria to become the market leader in the UK property industry. Within Mistoria Group he provides opportunities and resources to all stakeholders enabling them to build long lasting relationships.

From very modest beginnings he with his team has grown the business over the last 8 years to be a market leader in the North of England managing over 275 properties and over 1000 tenancies

As a Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA) and Member of Institute of Residential Property Management (MIRPM), Mish has over 15 years’ experience as a successful investor and a landlord. He also brings with him a strong network of contacts and immense sense of resilience, drive and passion. He is frequently invited as a guest speaker for property networking events across the North West.

What makes Mish happy is to see his team achieve what he has achieved so far being part of Mistoria Group. When he isn’t at Mistoria, Mish enjoys travelling and seeing the world, doing seminars and presentations and taking part in networking events.

Five of his key skills are:-

His goals for the next 3- 5 years are:-

  • For Mistoria to manage over 1000 properties and over 5000 tenancies.
  • Mistoria to be preferred employer in the real estate industry in the North of England
  • To do a minimum 120 refurbishments a year
  • To expand the number of branches from 4 to 10 in the next 3 years.
  • Looking at acquisition, merger and joint venture opportunities
  • Setting up International Offices and network of agents to promote Mistoria Investment products

Rob Flint

Senior Accountant

Accountant, Robert Flint is no stranger to hard work. Having studied for 7 years whilst working full time, he is no stranger to giving 110%, and is more than happy to continue doing so at MCC Accountants.

“Committed, hard-working, determined and a problem solver is how I believe my colleagues would describe me.” says Robert Flint, Senior Accountant at MCC. “I like to feel that I can solve any issues that might arise. Although I’m a natural planner, in this industry, each day is different and there are always challenges one can never foresee.”

A civil engineering graduate from the University of Salford, Robert spent his formative years working in the retail sector, whilst studying for his accountancy qualifications. A chance encounter with Mish and a desire to work within the accountancy/tax industry prompted a career change. That was more than five years ago.

“I worked at MCC initially for six months on a voluntary basis.” said Robert. “It gave me the confidence and experience I needed. Now, I manage the accountancy and tax requirements for a range of clients including individuals, partnerships and limited companies. It’s an extremely busy role but I thrive on the pressure and variety and can honestly say there isn’t an element of the role I dislike.”

Sophie Mcdermott

Office Manager

Sophie works directly under the Group as Office Manager/PA to the CEO and engages in organising the management of all administration across the Group and for the CEO.

Sophie brings with her 7 years’ experience working in management and property. She creates a balanced, proactive and relaxed workplace environment by motivating staff and delivering results.

When she isn’t at Mistoria, Sophie enjoys spending time with her fiancé, two children and her Boxer dog.

Sean Casey

Sean has worked in the property industry for a number of  years, in Commercial, Residential, Land and as a property Auctioneer. Working both in  private treaty and investment sides of the industry for some of the most successful multi-disciplined practices in the North West.

He now brings that experience to Mistoria working both in Manchester and Liverpool.

Looking at Land, Property and joint venture opportunities within the property sector.

When not working I like going to the gym taking my dog out and the best of all going on Holiday somewhere warm.

Sue Stephens


Group Accountant
Having worked successfully within the group for almost three years with MCC Accountants, Sue has recently moved
to the position as Group Accountant for the Mistoria Group working closely with the Director on all corporate financial matters.

Sue is also responsible for the day to day administration of the financial reporting for a number of the companies within the group,
ensuring the accurate and timely processing in line with company policy.

Having worked in the financial sector for over twenty years, Sue has held a number of senior financial position at companies such as,
the Renaissance City Centre Hotel, Miller Fisher Limited and M&W Freight Limited, she has a wide and varied knowledge of accountancy
procedures having learnt from the bottom up.

Key strengths such a attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a timely and efficient fashion are crucial, within a hectic
and fast paced working environment such as the Mistoria Group.
Key Skills:

1) Ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

2) Reconciliation of intercompany accounts.

3) Processing all aspects of property utility costs/revenues.

4) Accurate processing and reconciliation of all group bank accounts.

5) Assisting Director with project financial reporting.

April Calderbank

April’s role at Mistoria is very varied as she looks after all administration in the Lettings team including compliance, licensing and utility management. Her six key skills are:

April has a background in Customer Service and has worked for Mistoria since 2011. She brings positivity and enthusiasm to her role and no day is the same.

Tanya Jackson

My role in Mistoria is dealing with the day to day management of all the Liverpool rental properties. I will respond to any lettings enquiries and arrange/ carry out viewings for any potential tenants. My role is also to generate new business for Mistoria and to ensure that all properties get let.

I have 5 years’ experience working in a residential sales and lettings environment and I really enjoy dealing with clients and being able to find them a property.

In my spare time, I like to travel and spend time with my fiancé Liam.

Ellie-Mae Brooke

Ellie-Mae has joined the Marketing Team working alongside other members of the team. She has joined Mistoria on an Apprenticeship and is working towards Level 2 Business Administration. Ellie-Mae works with the Marketing Team to complete and edit the website’s for the business. She is also tasked with uploading articles onto the website and is in charge of all stationary orders for the offices. Her key skills are;

Antonio Vita

Antonio’s main role is to Project Manage all of the Renovations side of Mistoria Group. He oversees all property refurbishments and manages all sub-contractors. His five key skills are:

Ian Comisky

Maintenance Department


Managing the day to day running of the maintenance division at the Mistoria Group is no ‘walk in the park’.  Fortunately, Ian Comisky’s calm, committed and experienced approach gained over 35 years ensures the process is always smooth.

Ian’s key role is the management of both Manchester’s and liverpool’s property maintenance and

Daniella Ryan

Daniella is the Branch Manager for Mistoria Estate Agents in Salford. Daniella brings a wealth of knowledge to the business from 14 years experience in the property industry.
