Mish Liyanage




Mish maps out the strategic direction of all the businesses within The Mistoria Group and is very passionate for Mistoria to become the market leader in the UK property industry. Within The Mistoria Group he provides opportunities and resources to all stakeholders enabling them to build long lasting relationships.

From very modest beginnings he with his team has grown the business over the last 10 years to be a market leader in the North of England managing over 500 properties and over 1200 tenancies

As a Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA) and Member of Institute of Residential Property Management (MIRPM), Mish has over 15 years’ experience as a successful investor and a landlord. He also brings with him a strong network of contacts and immense sense of resilience, drive and passion. He is frequently invited as a guest speaker for property networking events across the North West.

What makes Mish happy is to see his team achieve what he has achieved so far being part of The Mistoria Group. When he isn’t at Mistoria, Mish enjoys travelling and seeing the world, doing seminars and presentations and taking part in networking events.

Five of his key skills are:-

  • Provide leadership to all the Mistoria Group of Companies
  • Bring the right stakeholders to the business who share the Group vision
  • Motivate and reward staff and provide opportunities for them to grow within the business

His goals for the next 3- 5 years are:-

  • For Mistoria to manage over 1000 properties and over 5000 tenancies.
  • Mistoria to be preferred employer in the real estate industry in the North of England
  • To do a minimum 120 refurbishments a year
  • To expand the number of branches from 5 to 10 in the next 3 years.
  • Looking at acquisition, merger and joint venture opportunities
  • Setting up International Offices and network of agents to promote Mistoria Investment products

Rob Flint

Robert Flint is no stranger to hard work. Having studied for 7 years whilst working full time, he is no stranger to giving 110%, and is more than happy to continue doing so at The Mistoria Group and MCC Accountants.

“Committed, hard-working, determined and a problem solver is how I believe my colleagues would describe me.” says Robert. “I like to feel that I can solve any issues that might arise. Although I’m a natural planner, in this industry, each day is different and there are always challenges one can never foresee.”
A civil engineering graduate from the University of Salford, Robert spent his formative years working in the retail sector, whilst studying for his accountancy qualifications. A chance encounter with Mish and a desire to work within the accountancy/property industry prompted a career change. That was more than seven years ago.

Steve Ryan

Estate Agent Senior Manager

Steve’s role at Mistoria is to oversee the sales and lettings department in all branches (Salford, Liverpool and Bolton), to ensure that each branch provides good customer service and customer care, while also ensuring that Mistoria are compliant in all that they do. His main duties are:

  • Ensure that each branch is working to its full potential
  • Provide and develop each team member so that they can grow with the business
  • Provide direct support to the CEO
  • Assist the branches in getting properties let in the required timescale
  • Hold weekly meetings with the teams to drive the business forward
  • Work closely with each branch to ensure that they can provide the best possible experience for anyone who has been in touch with Mistoria
  • Attends weekly BNI meetings to grow the business by networking

Steve has extensive knowledge of the property business in both sales and lettings with over 20 years’ experience, Steve is very keen on keeping up with legislation and attends meeting on a regular basis to keep in touch with the ever changing processes that come into place on a yearly basis.

When he’s not at work Steve enjoys watching football, attending the gym and travel. He has a wife and daughter, as well as grandchildren to keep him young at heart.

April Calderbank

April’s role at Mistoria is very varied as she looks after all administration in the Lettings team including compliance, licensing and utility management. Her six key skills are:

April has a background in Customer Service and has worked for Mistoria since 2011. She brings positivity and enthusiasm to her role and no day is the same.

I have 5 years’ experience working in a residential sales and lettings environment and I really enjoy dealing with clients and being able to find them a property.

Antonio Vita

Hannah Goodman

Hannah has around eight years’ experience of dealing with private lettings and landlords. She has also been a student tenant herself. Hannah strongly believes that student housing is of utmost importance to ensure a positive university experience; this is the reason why she decided to embark in a career with student lettings.

As the manager of Student Haus with over 60 HMO properties in Salford and Manchester, her main responsibility is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the company. She manages the Student Haus team, offering support when needed and she liaises with tenants, landlords and contractors as well as the accounts and maintenance teams at Student Haus. Some more of her responsibilities include:

· Delegating tasks to ensure that day-to-day tasks are completed.
· Monitoring and delegating emails.
· Attending valuations, viewings, inventories and inspections.
· Registering/releasing deposits and dealing with disputes accordingly.

After completing a BSc in Business and financial management Molly decided to continue her studies, completing an MSc in Accounting and Finance. Whilst studying for her masters at The University of Salford, she contacted MCC Accountants looking for a 3 month placement. Having really enjoyed the time spent at MCC and due to the future growth plans of the business, Molly took the opportunity to start full-time as an Accounts Assistant. Molly thoroughly enjoys problem solving and since starting at MCC, her knowledge and skill base are constantly growing. She is currently looking to expand her knowledge even further by studying to become a qualified accountant, whilst continuing to work full-time.
